The Silent Wife

The Silent Wife is by A.S.A. Harrison.  This book was one of the eight books that I had read about
that were recommended by another blogger. It was one of my goals for 2016 to read the eight books, so this is the first one down!  This is the author's first novel and I just read that it is being made into a movie starring Nicole Kidman.  It should make a good movie.

The book is about a married couple, Jodi and Todd, living in a beautiful waterfront condo in Chicago with their dog.  Jodi was a psychotherapist, who only saw a few clients in Jodi and Todd's condo (right off the bat, boundary issues for me), and Todd worked in high end renovation of buildings. Jodi pretty much devoted herself to Todd and their marriage, overlooking his not so indiscreet affairs.

Things changed for Jodi after Todd wanted to leave her and move in with his best friend's college-age daughter.  She may have appeared to remain 'the silent wife", but, as they say, still water runs deep.

This wasn't one of the best books I've read ...it didn't compare to Gone Girl or Girl on the Train for me, but it was any easy read and should be an entertaining movie!
